Getting Your Margaret River Wedding Paperwork Sorted — Even From Afar

Because Margaret River is such a popular destination wedding location, many of my couples don’t actually live here. As a local marriage celebrant, I often work with couples planning their wedding remotely — and the good news is, taking care of the legal paperwork is easier than you might think.

  • Let’s Have a Chat

We’ll start with a friendly chat so you can ask questions and I’ll familiarise you with the process. This is a great chance for us to connect and make sure you feel supported from the very beginning.

To get started, just give me a call or message me by WhatsApp or by SMS text —whatever’s easiest for you!

  • Connecting Over FaceTime

Once we’ve chatted, we’ll set up a FaceTime call. That way you get to see me, we can connect properly, and I can guide you step by step through what needs to be done.

  • Filling Out Your Notice of Intended Marriage

If you’re in Australia, you can even fill out the Notice of Intended Marriage form together during our FaceTime call, with me supervising. I can legally witness your signatures that way, so it’s all official without you needing to travel.

  • Identification Checks — A Legal Must

I can record and see your identification(s) by Facetime, but I will still need to touch and feel your physical identifications before your wedding ceremony — it’s required by law and also my way of knowing I’m definitely marrying the right people!

  • What If You’re Overseas?

If you’re overseas, the process is still simple. We can prepare the paperwork remotely, and I’ll talk you through exactly what needs to happen and when. The only difference is that I can’t legally witness your signature on your Notice of Intended Marriage while you’re outside Australia. But I’ll make sure you know exactly what you need to do.

Getting the paperwork done for your wedding from a distance doesn’t mean it has to feel distant. With the right celebrant by your side, the whole process can be smooth, personal, and stress-free — so when you arrive in Margaret River for your wedding, you can simply focus on the celebration itself.
