Planning an Outdoor Wedding? Don’t Forget Shire Approval!
Dreaming of a picturesque outdoor ceremony in the Margaret River region? While the natural beauty here is perfect for weddings, unfortunately, you can’t just set up your ceremony wherever you like.
To protect these beautiful public spaces, the local Shire or the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions require you to apply for a permit if you want to tie the knot in certain locations. You will therefore need to submit an application and await approval from either of these departments before your proceed with planning your ceremony. So, before you say “I do,” make sure the relevant authority says “I do” too!
